St. George's Day

Every year we like to celebrate St. George and everything English, it's an opportunity to go over the top! We have a traditional Evensong because like Matins it is quintessentially English! Hymns included Jerusalem and I Vow To Thee My Country.
After we have indulged ourselves in worship we then retire to the home of our Hosts Chris and Jean Stringfield whose sumptious supper held up our bring and share St. George's Supper.
If ever there was a reason to celebrate St. George more often look no further than Tim's rhubarb fool-Rob feels that once a year is not enough!
Rather surprisingly every one started to go home when Irene sang The Men of Harlech, even though it had alternative words (mostly clean).
The cry certainly went up for Harry and St. George in North Lopham, what a shame that April 23rd comes only once a year!
