THE UPPER WAVENEY BENEFICE CHOIR

The Choir normally meets on a Thursday evening between 5.30-6.30pm in Roydon Church, either in the Parish Room or the main body of the church depending on the temperature.

The Choir is led by the Reverend Reg Dakin who is the Music Director of the Benefice. The organist is Mrs Jennie Vere from North Lopham and the number of the choir varies between 5-12 members.

The Choir has a break from rehearsals between June and September and normally take part in the bigger Group celebrations such as Chruistmas, Easter, Harvest Festivals and Five Parish Services.

Hymns, Anthems and Psalms are normally sung by the choir in the services they take part in which might range from Mattins (Morning Prayer), Holy Communions or Choral Evensongs.

The Benefice Choir are sometimes available for weddings, depending on committments and normally charge £40.

Anybody is welcome to join the choir, all that is needed is enthusiasm and a sense of humour as there is often a light banter which takes place in between the singing. Why not come along and join us?
